The 2015 Japan accelerator was a five-day “Business Model Validation” Lab hosted at Impact Hub Japan. It was designed to provide Japanese early stage entrepreneurs with a step-by-step methodology to rapidly validate their venture’s business model.
Attending ventures included:
- Coiado manages an app called “AED SOS,” which is developed to prevent the death caused by sudden cardiopulmonary arrest.
- Bosai Girl raises awareness about disaster prevention and disaster-preparedness goods such as a location tracking shoe attachment for children.
- ANDHAND is a productivity improvement application for ADHD patients.
Highlights: The Japan Lab Team hosted a private dinner party with former Google X Lead Designer, Tom Chi, and an evening event featuring a fireside chat with Taizo Son, founder of Mistletoe Inc. and Advisor at SoftBank.
“Unreasonable Lab Japan itself was a Business Model Validation to test the local impact entrepreneur ecosystem. All indications are we followed through on something special. Maybe even Unreasonable. And maybe in some small way, together, Unreasonable Lab Japan impacted people’s lives for the better.” Samuel Goodman, Japan Team Lead
