We are in the process of designing a global online marketplace for copylefting effective social business models and innovations. This marketplace houses ideas, models, inventions, and innovations that have been proven financially self-sustaining, scalable, and effective in meeting a social or environmental need.

To quote Muhammad Yunus, "There's enough poverty for us all." Effectively addressing social challenges like poverty, environmental degradation, and oppression require the free sharing of ideas that work so they can be replicated globally.

But What is Copyleft?

A copyright protects an idea from being reproducing or distributed without express permission from its owner. A copyleft, on the other hand gives anyone and everyone permission to reproduce, adapt, or distribute an idea as long as they also leave their replication or adaptation of the idea open for others to reproduce. Our objective is to promote this idea among social entrepreneurs.

When Muhammad Yunus copylefted the microfinance model, he requested that all microfinance organizations replicated his model would copyleft their models as well. Because of its availability for replication, over 3,000 microfinance organizations have used Dr. Yunus's model in 180 countries around the world to reach over 100 million impoverished families.

By sharing our most effective business models and social inventions with the world, we will be working together as a community of change-makers to solve the most pressing social and environmental challenges of our time.
