Describe your Unreasonable Venture in 100 words or less.
Business Models:
the revenues models are :
primary streamline:
1) selling our reverse vending machines
2) selling "green" contents displayed on the reverse vending machine
secondary streamline:
- selling branded "ecofroggy" made from 100% recycled materials
What is the urgent social or environmental need we’re addressing?
1) lack of CSR
In China, nowadays, with the rapid development, more & more drinks are consumed which produced much more wastes leading to the resource waste. However, the social awareness of recycling is lower.
2) Public social responsibility :
More people do not care about the used empty packages & throw them away at random in parks or public areas which pollutes the area and causes a second round of environmental problems.
3) Low efficiency of recycling supply chain:
Exchanging with local recycling logistics, we found that they have higher carbon emission during the routine delivery but gains little at the end.
What is your solution to this need? Describe your business strategy.
Strategies:
-design a recycling system via our recycling machine linking all elements of recycling supply chain via collection, education and branded ecofroggy products ma
Team
Describe your relevant experience (especially entrepreneurial).
I had been university teacher for 5 years which helps me to train our team with practical methodology.
I joined a Sino-Danish company for over 8 years and got a different experience as a board assistant, sales and marketing manager which now enriches my internal management experience.
in 1999, I launched my first consultancy company with my partners with her start-up investment at $300,000. With 5 years hard work, we have generated a positive profit with a growing team (we developed from 3 staff to 20). During this period, i learned how to control the budget, how to market and build up company climate, branding, how to built up a team and how to manage and cooperate suppliers. Also, I learnt how to provide service to meet customers' requirement. All in all, I learnt a lot on management.
Why is your team uniquely qualified to run this venture?
GC wins 6 patents and 1 gold medal for invention. The team is diversed in age, skills , degree and experiences.
Anna, MBA from U.K ,MD has over 10 years experience in marketing and managment; Tracy has rich experiecne in financial control, she used to live in New Zealand and has a successful biz there; Li, is our R& D leader who is a PHD from top university in China, he is good at project management, esp.good at identification system appliation and leads our technician team efficiently l Ms. Zhao has over 30 years experience in ISO 9000 system and good at production communication, quality control etc..
Green Channel grows fast. We have grown up from 2 staff at the earlier stage to 12 nowadays. We launched a very competitive branding here in China.
Venture
What is the urgent social or environmental need you're addressing?
1) lack of CSR
In China, nowadays, with the rapid development, more & more drinks are consumed so plenty of the used empty packages are thrown away, leading to the resource waste. There are around 135 tonnes of alumnium cans produced in 2009 in China and 300 billion "Tetra pack" produced annually in China as well.

What is your solution to this need? Describe your business strategy.
Strategies:
-launch eco-interactive media platform - "merrier recycler machine" to segment the green advertisement market at the front of recycling supply chain
-brand eco-gifts as rewards at the end of supply chain
Aims to:
1) Project entreprises' green image with social responsibility by inviting them to put their advertisement on our recycling machines' screen, LCD, cabinets & rewarding coupons with their logo & green incentives on it.
2) Increase the public awareness of environmental protection by inviting them to participate in recycling via our recycling machines & reward them for recycling bottle & can like enjoying a discount or get ting recycled gifts etc.
3) With wireless software system, we guide recycling company to reduce delivery carbon emission & increase efficiency
Milestones
Convince us it will work. What milestones have you achieved?
In 2009, within only 3 months, GC had collected 80,000 plastic bottles & metal cans.
Based on "New Venture 2009 Impact Report":
GC's financial performance:
1) 2009 sales revenue: $292,360
2) 3-year sales revenue growth: 6263%
3) 4.5 tonnes waste removed in 2009 (plastic bottles & metal cans)
4) team growth: 2007: 2 staff, 2008: 4 staff, 2009-2010: 10 full-time staff & 5 part-time jobs

3) Hi-tech enterprise of Z-park
4) a branding ecogifts provided to Beijng Municipality, WWF, Shell, Cosol, Nature, Brandon AB, CASS, etc.
