Ed Messman Mentor 2011

Describe yourself briefly.

For the last 15 years Ed has been involved with hundreds of technology companies through his work with some of the leading financial institutions providing capital to growing startups. Most recently Ed served as Vice President of Corporate Development, Operations and Finance at Hivelive, an early entrant into the Enterprise Social Software market. There he helped to lead the organization’s growth and ultimately orchestrated its acquisition to Rightnow Technologies (Nasdaq: RNOW) in October 2009. It was through the Hivelive experience of watching forward thinking brands connect and engage with their audience through social software that Giveo was influenced and formed.

Ed is driven by professional intentionality and is eager to connect his background and experience to the cause marketing industry. He earned an MBA from University of Colorado Boulder and a BS in International Business from Grand Canyon University. He stays active with his wife and three children in Boulder.
